I write this the day after the Presidential election and sorrowfully there are riots and protests tearing at the fabric of our great nation. I have observed Millennials take center stage in our society. Some say they are lazy – that’s not true but they are not as interested in finding a job as their parents were at their age. Some say they are misinformed – there may be some truth to that, but I think I could say that about anyone or any generation. Some say they are selfish – again there is truth to this but they are not alone. Some say they are apathetic or cannot be motivated by what should motivate people – this is interesting. What should motivate people? The people that say this think that what should motivate millennials should be the same things that motivate them – a career, security, and then enjoy life. (more…)

A Call to Purpose
by
Through wisdom God set the heavens in place. He laid the foundations of the earth. Through wisdom He designed all things. This incredible world we live in was created some seven thousand years ago and is still spinning and sustaining upwards of eight billion people. We haven’t run out of air. Haven’t run out of food. No sir. God planned throughout history for all mankind. See Proverbs chapter eight if you want His word for it. He knew you before the creation of the world. He knit you together in your mother’s womb. He has detailed intricate plans for you. Plans to prosper you. To give you a hope and a future. After saying all that do you know what those plans are? Dinner with Lance Wallnau
by
I look up and see this beautiful fountain as we drive up to the Ritz Carlton in Orlando. We are there to attend a Business Summit hosted by Charis Bible College. The thought raced across my mind, “I’m not in Kansas anymore Toto.” Scheduled for the next three days are many successful men sharing their insights and processes used to propel their success. The headliner, and personal favorite, is Lance Wallnau. He is an incredibly gifted, thought-provoking, speaker. The entertainment value he brings is only overshadowed by the substance. Lance is speaking about doing business supernaturally and does an incredible job tying the tasks of being in business with the higher calling of God to have “His Kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” (more…)
Needs vs. Wants Determine Your Destiny
by
“You know what you need?” I can still hear this in my mind. As far back as I can remember people have been saying this to me. My parents, my teachers, my friends, even Dr. Phil. I can’t really remember what they said after that though. Strange, isn’t it. It seems everyone has an opinion of what you need. Honestly, I am just getting in line. Don’t stop reading just yet. I discovered, by the grace of God, His process for what you need so you get what you want – then you will step into your destiny and out of your rut. (more…)
Prosper & Build Wealth for His Kingdom
"It is either God or money! Make up your mind."
by
I spent three days last week at a WealthBuilders Real Estate Workshop and it was life changing. I have never been motivated by money. I know that sounds strange, but it’s true. Don’t get me wrong, I like to have my needs met and have extra, but I will not stay up every night at the expense of my family to try to double my income. Thank God that He has given me a heart that senses the difference between greed and building wealth. A whole bunch of people can’t tell much of a difference, and it shows. Billy Epperhart knows the difference and he is the host and also the author of “Money Mastery,” the book pictured here. The first thing I ever remember him saying is,
“It is either God or money! Make up your mind.“
I heard that at Charis Business Summit in 2015. (more…)
Nothing is Impossible!
One Language
by
Last month I was taking a course on the Business Model Generational Canvas. I am a firm believer that we are always learning, or at least should be. In the past I was one that ignored opportunities to learn. I began to settle, and then my hearing slowly dulled. I was in a trap. Taking my eyes off of Jesus, distancing myself from the head was not good. I began to settle. I began to ask the wrong questions, like “God will you do something?” The whole time he is asking me the same thing. I had lots to learn. Anyway that is probably a book waiting to take shape. Today I wanted to talk about the amazing nugget I discovered at the start of this course on business models. Have no fear, even if you have no interest in business models you will love this.
One of the statements made early on in class was, “an effective business model gives companies a common language.” They even referenced the tower of babel. This makes a lot of sense. Lack of communication seems to be at the root of all sorts of problems. (more…)

Amazing true story of Success!
by
I am about to share with you an amazing story of a face-to-face encounter with death. This story is true. I am avoiding some names for the sake of discretion. I’m sure you understand.
A family owned a ranch back in the days where right and wrong was enforced by one’s own strength. Judges and authorities were either too far or too slow to help. This family was large by our standards with Mom and Dad having eight sons and two daughters. This was a time when families weren’t fragmented, but each member pulled together to survive. This was also a time of war and the oldest three sons were conscripted into service.
