Prosper & Build Wealth for His Kingdom

"It is either God or money! Make up your mind."

I spent three days last week at a WealthBuilders Real Estate Workshop and it was life changithumb_img_1164_1024ng.  I have never been motivated by money.  I know that sounds strange, but it’s true.  Don’t get me wrong, I like to have my needs met and have extra, but I will not stay up every night at the expense of my family to try to double my income.  Thank God that He has given me a heart that senses the difference between greed and building wealth.  A whole bunch of people can’t tell much of a difference, and it shows.  Billy Epperhart knows the difference and he is the host and also the author of “Money Mastery,” the book pictured here.  The first thing I ever remember him saying is,

It is either God or money!  Make up your mind.

I heard that at Charis Business Summit in 2015.  That is the moment in time when God began to bring clarity to me.  I was being so selfish.  All I cared about was me and mine.  God had bigger plans.  He’s Jehovah Jireh, The Lord my Provider.  He is certainly going to take care of me and mine, but He also wants to use me to help the people around me.  I was ashamed and set free all at the same time.  God is so good!  We have been focused on a God’s plans for our lives.  We are building wealth to support Kingdom work.  We should certainly pray for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done but at some point we should realize God uses people to do that.  In fact He wants to use you for just exactly that wherever you find yourself today.

The Christian circles I frequent almost everyone can quote Jeremiah 29:11;

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Then everyone smiles and agrees God is good, but rarely does anyone know what those good plans are!  The body has been taught very well that it is God’s will for them to prosper, but there is very little relevant instruction in “HOW” to prosper.  Read “Money Mastery” and you will find the “how.”

So there I am in a hotel conference room with sixty other like-minded believers from all over the country and even the world.  I was blessed to meet and fellowship with people from Delaware, California, Virginia, Texas, and on and on.  I met people from Norway, England, and Australia.  Everyone had a heart to see His Kingdom come and His will be done here on earth.  We are all exposed to practical information and ideas to implement to do just that.  The most wonderful part are the people you get to meet.  Everyone shares what they’ve learned and or struggle with and how it fits through the lens of expert wealth builders.  As I can hear Billy in my mind say, “That’s worth the price of the whole ticket.”  And it truly is 🙂

The vision you will discover laid out in “Money Mastery” or at any of these WealthBuilder’s events is something called the Triple X Factor.  In a nutshell if you were to graph your expenses, income, and giving over time you would see three lines.  Most people in America earn less than they spend in a month due to credit cards.  This is a good path to bondage and deep debt.  Sounds like the devil doesn’t it?  Certainly not one of the good plans God has for you, yet many live like that and then beg God to do something.  God has done something.  He has given you the power to get wealth to establish His covenant here on earth (Dt 8:18).  But you have to do something.  The first X is when we begin to get our spending under control and we lower our expenses below our income and now you can take the excess income and begin to build wealth.  The second X comes when your money is making more than you owe in a month.  This is financial independence and what most people dream of but have no real plan how to get there.  They hope the 401K from work will do this.  The good news is you can do this and you don’t have to wait until you are in the twilight of life.  The third X comes when your investment portfolio is making so much money you can actually give it all to Kingdom Building endeavors.  This is almost always beyond the retirement plan for a 401k and is usually far beyond what most people ask, think, or imagine.  It is NOT beyond what God can do!

I talked with people and heard stories of God’s goodness.  God is a God of abundance.  Most people who lack think they need more money.  In reality they need to think differently.  The truth is though, when someone is in bondage and hurting you can’t just tell them what they need.  You must first address what they want, like money or a clean warm place to live, and then you will have opportunity to give them what they truly need.  WealthBuilders is all about bringing His ways here to earth.  I talked with a Pastor that was able to invest in a six-plex and now is generating over $2000 a month extra.  This is money that can be used to re-invest and continue to grow.  I met a man who gave a house to a widow with no strings attached.  He gave a house, that is awesome!!!  Pastor Dan Dyer helps people buy a home through rent to own.  These are people who are not in a position to go to a bank and just buy a house.  They may have poor credit or other issues that the world shuns.  Pastor Dan helps them break a spirit of poverty and buy a home!  That is bringing the Kingdom to earth!!!

Personally what impacted me the most are the friendships formed over dinner, or breakfast, or breaks.  It is amazing how God uses people.  If you ever have an opportunity to rub shoulders with some of these people at a WealthBuilder’s event I highly recommend it!  I believe the perspective alone will change your life!

Follower of Jesus, bringing living water to dry ground. Along the lines of Gideon Rob believes many others are more qualified to share God's heart, but once again God chooses the weak and the foolish things of the world to share His glory.
